My Favorite Quotes and Poems

This page is a collection of my favorite quotes and poems that I have come across over the years that I really love and did not want forget them. So what better place than to share them here. The poem “Do Not Weep” has a very special place in my heart. When my mother passed away a few years ago a friend sent me this poem in their sympathy card. I loved it so much that I always put it in the sympathy cards I create for others. Enjoy my selection. If you have a favorite quote/poem you would like to share please contact me.

POEMS

DO NOT WEEP

DO NOT STAND BY MY GRAVE AND WEEP

I AM NOT THERE, I DO NOT SLEEP

I AM A THOUSAND WINDS THAT BLOW

I AM THE DIAMOND GLINTS ON SNOW

I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPENED GRAIN

I AM THE GENTLE AUTUMN RAIN

WHEN YOU AWAKE IN THE MORNING’S HUSH

I AM THE SWIFT UPFLINGING RUSH

OF QUIET BIRDS IN CIRCLING FLIGHT

I AM THE SOFT STARLIGHT AT NIGHT

DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND CRY

I AM NOT THERE, I DID NOT DIE

~ MARY ELIZABETH FRYE
